This is the second time I've gone rafting with this team in the Basque Country, and it was another great experience! The welcome is warm, the guides are super professional and truly passionate about what they do. The equipment is high quality and safety is well ensured throughout the adventure. Very responsive company. I organized a stag party for my best friend. A ride with an amazing view, great sensations. The guide was very pleasant, explained a lot of things to us, even gave us lots of good advice for a good ride. We felt like he was part of our group of friends. The Nive (a mountain stream) rises above Saint Jean Pied de Port and Saint Etienne de Baigorry, then joins Bidarray.
This magnificent Village of Bidarray in the 64 department is a Mecca for Pyrenean rafting in Aquitaine. You can choose the formula rafting Bidarray with the Ur Ederra rafting school.
The church and the "pont d'enfer" at Bidarray are at the start of the western Pyrenees in department 64, 30 minutes from Biarritz. You can opt for the Rafting Biarritz.
It then passes through Itxassou (cherry paradise) below Espelette, famous for its Espelette chilli pepper.
It crosses Cambo les Bains and Ustaritz to finish in Bayonne.
Don't be confused with the Nivelle, a small, calm river that flows through Saint Pée Sur Nivelle (calm-water canoeing course), Ascain and on to Saint Jean de Luz, where you can go wave rafting (near Socoa and Ciboure). The package rafting Saint Jean de Luz is waiting for you.
